If willpower alone could defeat the fire horses, than the fire horses would have been defeated many times over. But, though Nhb, Mark, Arsir, Viti, and Elm have risked their lives for the ultimate goal of victory against King Fire, the fire horses are still burning the Eastern North Continent. Now winter is closing in on the Eastern North Continent, ready to bury it with many feet of snow. Winter’s blanket of clean, white snow offers to cover the ashen wastes left by the fire horses, but winter also threatens the peoples of the Eastern North Continent with freezing temperatures and blinding blizzards. Between winter’s challenge and the fire horses’ blazing swords, can Nhb, Mark, Arsir, Viti, and Elm stop King Fire’s deadly ambitions? Or will they perish in the task?
