The lineup behind Trigger Hippy's sophomore release includes drummer and co-founder Steve Gorman (The Black Crowes), Ed Jurdi (Band of Heathens), Nick Gorvick and Amber Woodhouse. Recorded largely in Nashville, TN, the album boasts some of the city's finest musicians including longtime Willie Nelson harp player Mickey Raphael, guitarist/mandolin player Guthrie Trapp, London-born pedal steel player Spencer Cullum, ex-Black Crowes guitarist Audley Freed and guitarist Sol Philcox-Littlefield. This new collection spotlights Trigger Hippy’s patented call-and-response duets and threepart vocal harmonies, with a stylistic range that encompasses traditional country plaints, classic rockers, honking blues, Basement Tapes-ish swamp-pop, Dr. John-meets Allen Toussaint bayou grooves and even a psychedelictrance/dirge raga.
