Op basis van de full-size M41 Widebody ontworpen en gebouwd door Dave's Custom Boten, krijgt de Traxxas M41 zijn unieke, agressieve uitstraling dankzij het gebruik van een catamaran romp ontwerp. In plaats van een monoromp met een V-vorm ontwerp, gebruikt de catamaran twee evenwijdige rompen van gelijke grootte. Dit ontwerp van de scheepsromp biedt meer dan een andere visuele presentatie; de catamaran biedt een breder houvast in het water voor meer stabiliteit en minder hydrodynamische weerstand. Dit laat ook de minder energie M41 verbruiken om zich voort te bewegen over het water waardoor deze ongelooflijk snel is.
