Oxford Companion to Irish History

The history of Ireland has long been a topic at the forefront of debate and one that continues to raise emotions and be the cause of much dispute. Interest in Irish culture, politics, and society, both ancient and modern, never seems to falter, not only in scholarly circles but also among the general public. Now in its second edition, the Companion continues to offer a comprehensive and authoritative guide to all aspects of the Irish past from earliest times to the present day.
