De schoonheid van het desolate die de kracht vormt van zijn Abandoned Places-boeken, is behouden, maar krijgt een extra dimensie met de verbeelding van dieren die hun plek zoeken in een wereld die de mens ooit toebehoorde. Desmond Morris, wereldberoemd zoöloog, schreef er een voorwoord bij, auteur Peter Verhelst een beklijvende epiloog. Al meer dan 25 jaar legt fotograaf Henk van Rensbergen prachtige beelden vast van verlaten plekken. Zijn Abandoned Places-fotoboeken waren telkens een groot internationaal succes. Met No Man's Land gaat hij nu artistiek nog een stap verder.
