Youth Engagement and Sustainable Development: Redefining Community Livelihoods through Holistic Social Work Intervention

This research explores youth engagement and sustainable development within the tea garden communities of the Cachar District in Assam. By utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study examines the intersecting social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by these populations, such as poverty, gender inequality, and climate vulnerability. The book highlights a significant reliance on traditional energy sources and identifies systemic barriers to education and modern sanitation. Ultimately, the findings advocate for holistic social work interventions and youth-led entrepreneurship to foster community resilience and long-term stability. The research provide a comprehensive framework for understanding how localized empowerment can address the historical exploitation and current marginalization of tea plantation workers.
