Bol The Most Prolific Poetess of the Mid-Tang Dynasty¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿Xue Tao (c. 770-832), courtesy name Hongdu, was a Tang dynasty courtesan, poet, and literary companion, often referred to by her contemporaries as the ""Female Editor."" Born in Chang'an (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi), she was raised in Chengdu. Residing by the banks of the Huanhua Stream, she crafted her own distinctive peach-colored stationery, known as ""Xue Tao Stationery,"" which she used for composing poetry.Xue Tao is celebrated as one of the Four Great Talented Women of Shu, alongside Zhuo Wenjun, Lady Huarui, and Huang E, and also counted among the Four Great Poetesses of the Tang Dynasty, together with Yu Xuanji, Li Ye, and Liu Caichun. A Ming dynasty compilation, Collected Poems of Xue Tao, preserves her literary legacy. This volume is part of the ""Sichuan Historical Figures Series: Biographies"" dedicated to the life and contributions of Xue Tao as an outstanding poet of the Mid-Tang period. Through her story, the book offers a vivid lens through which to understand the evolution of Mid-Tang poetry and the unique cultural milieu of Sichuan.¿¿¿¿770-832¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿"¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿·¿¿¿¿"¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿
