Words in a Mirror

This book offers poems inviting us to awaken the senses through memory, image and emotions. Each poem acts as a gateway, inviting readers or listeners to reflect on their physical, cognitive, and emotional responses, while deepening awareness of their feelings and the influence these have on their lives. These poems draw from real life personal experience and work with clients, reflecting emotions and themes of everyday life. They offer a rare capacity to open reflective space without intrusion or prescription. This collection will be of particular value to coaches, supervisors, and practitioner educators seeking creative and embodied ways to support reflection, insight, and development within coaching and supervision contexts, while for facilitators and poetry therapists, the integration of reflection and supervision questions provide a thoughtfully structured framework for practice.
