His legasy after this short career is many unsurpassed recordings from mono and stereo era.Mozart's Don Giovanni, a 1958 stereo recording prized with the Grand Prix du Disque 1960, is a strong urgent performance with a group of Mozart specialists as Maria Stader, Imgard Seefried, Ernst Haefliger and above all Fischer-Dieskau's youthfully singing as Don Giovanni.
