Witness 28 Simulation Modeling: Rational Process Design

Haskoning released the latest update to their WITNESS process simulation software, WITNESS 28, in 2026. WITNESS 28 includes many enhancements from prior releases as well as a redesigned user interface. These improvements build upon Witness's strengths in modeling discrete event and flow processes. Some of these capabilities? Best in class capability to model multicycle machines, model machine breakdowns with multiple breakdown causes, each with independent frequencies of occurrence and repair durations, and finally modeling internal and external setup activities. To facilitate digital twinning, WITNESS 28 can both receive data from external sources and supply data as an output. These interactions can be with Microsoft Excel and Access as well as through SQL.
