Will Yesterday Be Over By Tomorrow

Will Yesterday Be Over By Tomorrow by Bernadette Ribeiro is a poignant exploration of love, ‎loss and the quest for meaning. Set on a remote island, the story follows Daniel, who retreats to ‎a cottage he once shared with his former lover, Lindy. Lindy, now pregnant despite their ‎agreement not to have children, clings to the pregnancy while Daniel distances himself, unable ‎to cope with the future unfolding before him.‎ Parallel to Daniel's story is that of Mr Cohen, an elderly Jew who arrives on the island seeking ‎Aami, a girl connected to his deceased son, Daco. His search leads him to Casa Miranda, a ‎house with a dark past intertwined with the island's history. As Daniel grapples with his ‎memories of Aami, a scarred girl who had once touched his life deeply, his path converges with ‎Mr Cohen's. Through poetry, loss and unexpected connections, both men embark on a journey ‎of healing. This novel is a moving tapestry of human emotion, resilience and the passage of ‎time.
