When Will Marcia Be Here?

It's 7:46am. Marcia the nanny is one minute late. That single minute is all it takes for five-year-old Andrew's imagination to explode with wild possibilities.Maybe her feet turned into bananas and she can't stop slipping. Maybe she's made of ice cubes and melted in the sun. Maybe she put on all 17 pairs of her pants, 6 underpants, 28 shirts, and 3 hats and can't move. Maybe a giant squirrel kidnapped her. Maybe she's stuck on a cloud and can't get down. With each increasingly outrageous scenario, Andrew and his Daddy laugh together - until the knock at the door arrives. When Will Marcia Be Here? is a funny, tender picture book about the boundless creativity of a child's imagination, the warmth of a parent-child moment, and the joy of wondering together. The interactive ending page invites young readers to invent their own explanation - making every reading a little different.Perfect for children ages 2-8 and the grown-ups who love reading with them.
