When We Say Moien: A story about the little things that become home

Sometimes home begins with a single word. When Maischen arrives in Luxembourg to spend time with her grandpa, everything feels new- the cobblestone streets, quiet benches, neighborhood bakeries, castle views, and smiling faces she passes along the way.But Grandpa never rushes. He lets her stop. He lets her wonder. He lets her notice. And little by little, through shared walks, warm pastries, peaceful afternoons, and one simple greeting repeated again and again-"Moien."A place that once felt unfamiliar slowly begins to feel like home.Beautifully illustrated in a timeless watercolor style, When We Say Moien is a gentle story about family, belonging, and discovering that the smallest moments often become the memories we treasure most.Perfect for: - Children ages 4-8- Grandparents and grandchildren- Families with Luxembourg connections- Travel-loving families- Bedtime reading- Classrooms celebrating kindness and world cultures
