Meanwhile, his estranged father strives to reconcile his actions, which have not only divided the Robson family, but have caused tension within his own.Spanning two world wars, and set in Alnwick, the mining community of North Walbottle in Newcastle's West End, the Northumberland coast, Surrey Hills and Scottish Borders, this is a family saga of love, loyalty, loss, and the ties that bind through every generation.
