What's Past is Prologue

A unique take on personal philanthropy, Craig Swistun's What's Past Is Prologue expands, unfolds and explicates his thesis that when it comes to our attitudes to charity and volunteering in society, we are all 'the sum of all our parts.' If we care to look carefully, he argues, our past experiences tell us everything we need to know about how we view the needs of the world around us. And even more importantly, they inform our response.Few others have thought about it ... and all its implications ... in such detail. And then gone on to draw out an extended series of logical practical tips and ideas ... separately for financial planners, donors, and charity managers! Craig has made the book helpful to all three groups .... leaving all of us in the sector, whether as donor, volunteer, manager, fundraiser, planner, or major funder, plenty to chew on.If you've never asked yourself why - really why - you support the people and organizations you do, give What's Past Is Prologue a read. You just may be amazed at what you learn about yourself.
