weaving shade: Contemporary dream poetry

Dreams have been essential elements of literary texts since they were first recited or written. This first of its kind international collection of contemporary dream poetry-the companion volume to the Lamar University Literary Press anthology Contemporary Surrealist and Magical Realist Poetry-provides an engaging exploration of dreams as resources of the literary imagination. The poems in this book affirm the idea that the literary imagination is an unbound frame that resonates especially strongly in the human dimensions where dreams exist. These pages give voice to the aesthetic notion that reality is not just filtered through the imagination in literary texts but is, in fact, reshaped into new sensibilities and new realities-into ephemeral places made tangible where the literary imagination fuses with dreams.
