Weak Faith, Strong Christ: Gospel Strength for Struggling Believers: 2

When faith feels weak, where can a struggling believer turn? Many Christians love Christ yet are deeply troubled by the weakness they find within themselves. Their prayers feel poor. Their repentance seems imperfect. Assurance rises and falls. Temptation exposes their frailty, and fear whispers that they may not finish the journey.Weak Faith, Strong Christ brings these burdens into the light of Scripture and directs the needy soul away from faith in faith to the fullness of Jesus Christ. With doctrinal clarity and pastoral warmth, Rick Bawcom shows how Christ receives, shepherds, heals, teaches, intercedes for, assures, defends, strengthens, and keeps His people.Within these pages, readers will discover: - Why weak faith can still be real faith - How Christ welcomes the bruised and burdened - Why poor prayers are carried by a perfect High Priest - How to bring imperfect repentance and an accusing conscience to Christ - How God's promises sustain troubled believers - How weakness can teach dependence without becoming an excuse for passivity - Why Christ will finish the work He beginsThis book does not encourage believers to make peace with unbelief. It calls them to bring every fear, failure, doubt, and need to the Savior whose grace is sufficient, whose promises are sure, and whose hand is strong. You may have weak faith, but you do not have a weak Christ.Book Two in The Full Christ for Needy Souls series.
