Wayland High, the Beginning

Before starting her junior year at Wayland High School in the fall of 1986, a lightning bolt of forbidden summer love hits Sydney Masterson in the romantic setting of the San Gabriel Mountains. Totally invested and ready to go all-in, she does what she has to salvage the promising adventure for as long as she can. Destiny, however, dictates an inevitable disappointment. At this school, gang members play on the football team, and Principal Ward Bertram starts his second year as head of Wayland High in West Los Angeles. Take a trip back to the 1980s when MTV and U2 were still considered fresh. Mullets crossed gender lines and found their way into high school yearbooks.
