Voxia: A Prismatic Universe

Miles Vale Umbriel thought leaving Earth for Voxia would mean learning magic. He was not prepared for everything else. At sixteen, Miles arrives on an alien world tied to a family history he barely understands. Voxia is ancient, powerful, beautiful-and governed by traditions that have existed far longer than Earth civilization. Unfortunately for everyone involved, Miles has questions. A lot of questions. Now he has to survive the Royal Knight Academy, learn to control a powerful Mana Core, navigate royal expectations, and endure training under Emperor Vox-a man whose teaching philosophy occasionally seems to involve throwing Miles through walls. Being half-human does not make things easier. Neither does Miles's habit of noticing when something is broken. As he begins exploring the capital beyond the palace and Academy, Miles discovers a side of Voxia that does not match the polished reports he has been given. Worker wards are struggling. Old systems are failing. Some people would rather he stop asking why. Miles has never been especially good at stopping. Some problems can be solved with magic. Some require a wrench. Others probably should not be approached by a sarcastic teenager from Earth at all. Miles approaches them anyway. Voxia: Earthborn Prince is the first book in a character-driven science-fantasy adventure about family, magic, strange new worlds, impossible expectations, and finding your place when home suddenly means more than one planet.
