Viable

Special Agent Michael Chan has worked cases like this before; at least he thinks he has. However, when the daughters of three prominent government officials vanish without a trace, the only message their families receive reads not like a ransom note, but a declaration. What begins as a politically motivated crime quickly reveals itself to be something far more calculated, far more sinister, and far more personal than anyone anticipated. The investigation moves fast. The clock moves faster. Spanning multiple states and touching the highest levels of government, Chan and his team are in a race against time they cannot afford to lose. For the families left waiting, uncertainty is all they have. And now these once uncompromising lawmakers are about to discover that the laws they built were never intended to apply to anyone they cared about. They were for the rest of us. The ones whose lives, whose choices, whose futures were never quite VIABLE enough to matter.
