Vedanta Tattva Sara of Ramanuja

This reality, or Supreme Being, is not devoid of attributes; rather, it is the repository of unbounded, blissful qualities. Moreover, it is completely free from any inauspicious qualities or defects. Individual souls are innumerable and exist eternally, either in a manifested or an unmanifested state. If individual souls did not exist before the first creation, their unequal statuses would be inexplicable. Similarly, if they ceased to exist after dissolution, their actions would remain without fruition.
