Unknown Colors: Stories

An expectant mother becomes obsessed with a group of missing children. A man finds that he no longer recognizes the world - or that it no longer recognizes him. A family holed up in a city under siege tries to continue living with one another. An unfaithful husband gets a second chance with a new version of his wife. A child terrified by the scope of environmental disaster finds a solution for all mankind. In a nameless place long after the end of the world, a father tries to comfort his daughter with a story. Across these and other stories, Unknown Colors is a study of human beings living in a time where everything - reality, technology, politics, family, faith - is melting together in increasingly uncanny ways. From the instability of an individual mind to the life of the world long after climate change has had its say, these stories locate people trying to stay human long after reality has collapsed around them.
