Unholy Emotions: How Captured Thoughts Rewire the Heart, Mind, and Life

You have prayed about it. You have repented of it. It is still there at three in the morning. The fear that arrives before the day starts. The anger you swallow and carry. The shame that reads your record back to you when the house goes quiet. You have fought these feelings for years, and they keep winning. There is a reason. You have been fighting at the wrong end.Emotions are not weather. They do not blow in from nowhere. Every unholy emotion grows out of a thought you accepted without examining it, rehearsed until it felt like truth, and then wore into your mind like a path through a field. Scripture named this mechanism long before science confirmed it: be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That is not poetry. It is instruction, and the fact that God commanded it is the proof that it is possible for you.In Unholy Emotions, Pastor Kevin Ortiz shows you where the real fight happens - at the gate, before the feeling forms.Inside this book: - The mechanism - how a thought becomes an emotion, and why the gap between them is where you win- Six emotions, named honestly - fear, anger and bitterness, lust, envy, shame, and despair, each traced back to the thought that feeds it- The Thought Audit - a six-question tool at the end of every chapter that makes an invisible thought visible- A 40-day plan - one lie, one verse, one declaration a day, five minutes at a time- A Scripture arsenal - organized by the emotion you actually fight, so you are not hunting for a verse at midnight- Honest counsel on getting help - because some heaviness has a body underneath it, and getting care is not a failure of faithThis is not a book about managing your feelings. It is about judging the thought at the gate, according to the Word of God, and letting the feelings follow. The mind that has been working against you can be rebuilt. God said so, and He does not command the impossible.
