The only difference is that this was a very special breed of police officer, for he was a narcotics investigator who refused to look the other way to allow corruption and drug trafficking to continue. The top prosecutors and the district attorney of the county where he worked were heavily involved in protecting those who were trafficking, as their cases never got before the judges.
