Oliver, a stuntman badly damaged in a catastrophic accident, receives a phone call from a woman, who claims she's being held prisoner. She refuses to tell him her name and says she has no idea where she is or why - she just called him "for someone to talk to".Trying to decide if she is delusional or telling the truth, he encourages her to talk, and over several long calls he finds out how she came to have access to a phone, and what she was involved in when she was abducted.Oliver knows without a doubt that if he doesn't rescue her, she will be killed by her captors as soon as she is no longer of use to them.
