Ukrainian Catholicism and the Second Vatican Council

This work examines the essence, origins, and current state of the phenomenon of Ukrainian Catholicism from systematic theological, historical, cultural, and religious studies perspectives in light of the documents of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965). Based on the Council's documents and contemporary Catholic teaching, the book explores the Christocentricity and Cordocentricity of Ukrainian Catholicism, as well as its universality and particularity in all ecclesiastical-national and ritual-liturgical manifestations, reflecting its catholicity and national ecclesiological identity. For students, graduate students, researchers, faculty members of higher education institutions, teachers, theologians, and anyone interested in contemporary issues of Ukrainian Christianity as exemplified by Ukrainian Catholicism and its role in addressing modern social and religious challenges.
