TWO TO BE REMEMBERED, author Matt Gavin’s 270-page book with vintage photographs, is the very personal, touching, and gripping biography of his wife’s parents, Ernest and Frederika Flissinger, a couple steeped in Dutch-Indonesian heritage, who grew up in paradisiacal settings, then suffered the terrible hardships of the Japanese invasion of Java in World War II and the subsequent Indonesian uprising.
