Miss Nan spent many years in the educational field. She started as an English teacher, moved into administration, and served as president of a private junior college in Jackson, Mississippi, for twenty years, a position from which she retired in 1995. It was in Jackson that she found her true calling, teaching the Word of God in a local church, Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Soon after becoming a member, she began to teach Sunday School, first to older women and currently to younger women, during a span of over thirty years. Throughout the years she has taught men and women of all ages in other Bible studies, particularly studies concerning end times. Her ministry is entirely within the local church, which she believes is God's instrument for this hour.
