Exploring helped him cope with the boys at school who teased him for being different, and that his father was away fighting in Vietnam. Looking out, with his binoculars, at the water, he notices a strange dark, weird fog. Where did it come from? Why does the fog have lighting and crackling sound? Suddenly, he saw a strange old wooden ship with three masts flying a Skull and Crossbones flag sailing out of the fog with a dragon head at the bow. Could it be a PIRATE SHIP? thought Tommy. Then the adventure begins!
