Toby and Pippi

Toby and Pippi is a children's picture book about a young boy who gets lost in the forest near his grandmother's countryside cottage after following a trail of butterflies off the path. When Toby wanders off the path to chase a trail of blue butterflies, his grandmother's forest turns into a maze of shadowy trees - and he realizes he's lost.Just when worry sets in, a bright, chatty parrot named Pippi swoops in with a song, a wing to follow, and just the right amount of mischief. Together they cross a babbling brook stone by stone, wander through a shimmering field of fireflies, and race the fading light home. The book is a gentle, reassuring read for young children (roughly ages 3-6), built around the theme that true friends show up when you need them most. It combines cozy, nature-filled illustrations with a simple, comforting journey: a small scare resolved through kindness, cleverness, and companionship rather than fear.
