This book tells the story of a wise and compassionate man who happened to be my grandfather, Samuel Benson. His life was filled with the usual challenges, but he was never defeated. He lived his life with courage and passion. Author Dwight Norris is Samuel Benson's oldest grandson and the recipient of his many good deeds and kindnesses over the years. Norris writes novels, short stories, memoirs, and, occasionally, poetry. He believes language is a tool for learning, inspiration, building courage, and changing a course of action. "When a writer tells the story of an individual, he honors that person and shows respect for their life," Norris states.
