Samuel is a construction worker on the Tower of Babel. The sole provider for his wife and young daughter, he must figure out how to make enough money before the tax deadline and not lose himself in the monotony of his routines. Day by day, as Samuel goes through the motions, he comes home more tired and sore, with little to show for it in the way of wages, but seeing his family happy makes all the pain worth it. The dream of what's to come when the tower is done-wealth only seen by the king himself-only motivates him for so long-until one fateful night in the bathhouse. When Samuel's faith in the project shatters, so does the project itself.
