Time Trials-The Pioneers

The past was never meant to be home. After a desperate escape from the Historians' Society, Finn and his teammates find themselves stranded in Gold Rush California with no way home and no idea if they'll ever return to the lives they left behind. But they're not alone.Deep in the Sierra foothills, they discover a group of former Time Trials competitors, exiled decades earlier. Their warning is clear: survival is possible. Returning home may not be.As Finn, Everly, Edison, and Valerie struggle to adapt to a brutal frontier where fortunes are made and lives are lost overnight, old wounds deepen, loyalties fracture, and dangerous secrets come to light. The farther they travel from the world they know, the harder it becomes to remember what they're fighting for - and who they're fighting against.Because in a land of gold, guns, and grit, the greatest danger may not be the past itself......but who you become within it.
