Bol This paper examines how the individual perception of time among employees in service companies influences their productivity and performance. In particular, the paper deals with chronobiology and the human internal clock, which can be seen as the cause of certain behaviours and emotional stress. In order to establish a concrete link to practice, an anonymous questionnaire is distributed to employees at the Farmach retirement home, a care facility in Saalfelden, which, among other things, examines the influence of specific stress factors. Working with older people very often leads to a time conflict. On the one hand, the nursing staff want to 'give time' to the residents, but on the other hand, they have to follow a strict schedule. After analysing the questionnaire results, interviews with experts from the surrounding health care facilities will be used to try to draw up a catalogue of measures containing recommendations for action for both employees and managers.
