Timaeus

Timaeus by Plato is a seminal philosophical dialogue that explores the nature of the physical world, the creation of the universe, and the principles underlying existence. In this work, Plato presents a detailed cosmology, discussing the formation of the cosmos, the role of the divine craftsman (Demiurge), the structure of the physical and metaphysical realms, and the relationship between order, reason, and harmony. Written in the 4th century BCE, Timaeus blends philosophy, science, and theology, addressing fundamental questions about the nature of reality, time, matter, and the human soul. Essential for students of classical philosophy, metaphysics, cosmology, and Platonic studies, this dialogue remains a foundational text in the study of ancient thought and the philosophical exploration of the universe.
