Tides of Time

Tides of Time is a mixture of novel, fantasy and non-fiction about the Arctic. It follows two committed young people in Spitsbergen. It is a story about friendship, home and history. Whaling is a key theme. Exciting adventures and incredible insights into climate research, shaping the future and rethinking old ways of thinking are part of the story. All the protagonists undergo a development they would never have expected. An adventure in the Arctic that radically changes their behaviour. As a non-fiction book, it explains a lot about research, political conditions and whaling in the past. The connection between northern Germany and the Arctic is part of the story that is taken up. However, Svalbard is a special archipelago with an international community of researchers, seekers and scholars. A young adult book that picks up on the commitment of the younger generation and seemingly effortlessly integrates factual knowledge about the Arctic. Written before and after an expedition called Timeless Arctis.
