Through The Mists Of Memories

Patrick O'Shea and Salvatore Boschetto have been friends since they met in second grade - almost eighty years ago. One morning, Pat receives a call - Sal is dying. As Pat considers this and starts to plan Sal's final services, memories flood him. Memories ranging from their first meeting to the crash of Wall Street, to Roosevelt's death, to the landing of Apollo. Each reflection uncharacteristically switches from third person to first person so that the character can come out of the book and tell you the story personally - with all of the emotion they felt as well. As Pat and his daughter Julie prepare for Sal's final rest, they uncover things about Sal that even they - as close as family as they are - did not know. Things that shine a light on the man and his sense of purpose and honor.
