This Avocado Is Going Bad

"This Avocado Is Going Bad" is a tender, funny, and imaginative picture book that invites children-and the adults reading with them-to reflect on the passage of time and the importance of enjoying things when the moment is right.Ávila and Aero, two curious and lively siblings, live in a valley where watermelons are magical and can taste like anything a child dreams of. Between adventures, laughter, and endless fruit discoveries, they stumble upon a wrinkled avocado hanging from a tree. Their grandfather shows them that even the strangest-looking fruit can hide something wonderful inside, turning the moment into a memory they won't forget.Later, when they save an avocado "for a special occasion" and forget about it in a box, the children learn a gentle but meaningful truth: some things-like fruit, happy moments, and the opportunities life gives us-don't last forever. They're meant to be enjoyed in their season.Told with a playful voice and a warm sense of humor, this story blends fantasy, family values, and a soft look at growing up. It's perfect for bedtime reading, classroom discussions, and families who want a story that resonates long after the last page.A sweet and luminous tale that encourages children to savor the present-and reminds adults to do the same.
