The Zorba Seres- Zorba's Village

Welcome back to Zorba's hilarious taverna.Telios has survived weddings, storms, gossip, power cuts, bad fish, family arguments, and a goat with strong opinions about paperwork. But nothing has prepared the village for official recognition. When a cream envelope arrives from Athens naming Telios a Village of Culture, Alex suddenly finds herself dealing with inspectors, ceremonies, reports, committees, and the terrifying possibility that the village may have to become organised. At first, it seems like another Greek complication to be survived with coffee, shouting, food and dangerous quantities of Dimitri's tsipouro. But being noticed is not always a compliment.Soon, polished men are looking towards the hillside above Telios and seeing views, access, investment and opportunity. The villagers see olive trees, ancient paths, memories, arguments, goats, and a way of life that cannot be improved without being ruined.Warm, funny, gloriously chaotic and filled with Greek sunshine, Zorba's Village is the fourth book in the much-loved Zorba series. If you enjoy laugh-out-loud village chaos, stubborn old men, formidable women, dangerous amounts of food and stories with real heart beneath the humour, pull up a chair at Zorba's.The coffee may be burnt. The chairs may be wrong. The goat may be eating the paperwork. But Telios is waiting. And once you arrive, you may never be allowed to leave.
