The Yearbook & Impala: 1

Some things are better the second time.Lorri Oliver opened a restaurant at sixty and her second adolescence at the same time. In Thornbury, Connecticut, in a red leather booth with the lights turned low, she has been quietly relearning what it means to want something - and to reach for it without apology. The Yearbook is where it starts: a snowy Friday night, a man from her high school, a 1981 yearbook open between them, and ninety minutes that change everything. The Impala is where it deepens: a 1960 Chevrolet, fire engine red, driven by a craftsman who has kept it for forty-four years because some things, once you have them, you don't let go of.This volume collects the first two books in the Something in the Water series - a story about a woman in her second act who has decided, without apology, that desire is a serious subject and she intends to treat it that way.Welcome to Thornbury. Mind the booth.
