The Vintner's Betrayal: A Piedmont Conspiracy

Tori Hale hasn't set foot in Barolo in a decade not since the fight that sent her running from her father, from Italy, and from the vineyard that was supposed to be her inheritance. She comes back for his funeral. She stays for the truth.Marco Hale's death was ruled an accident. Tori doesn't believe it not once she starts finding what he left behind: a locked ledger, a list of circled vintage numbers, and a cellar master who knows far more about forged wine than any hired hand should. Rafael Conti isn't who he claims to be, and neither, Tori is starting to suspect, is the man who raised her like a second father: her own godfather, Enzo.As the harvest closes in, Tori and Rafael follow a trail of counterfeit vintages through candlelit auction houses and sealed sub-cellars, falling for each other even as every new discovery makes it harder to know who's telling the truth. Someone in Barolo murdered to protect a fortune built on forged bottles - and they will do it again before they let Tori finish what her father started.
