the Truth & Great Deceiver: Knowing your God and Enemy

What if the story of humanity did not begin with Adam and Eve - but with events that first unfolded in Heaven? The Truth & The Great Deceiver: Knowing Your God and Your Enemy takes readers on a thought-provoking journey through Scripture, examining the spiritual conflict between obedience and rebellion, light and darkness, truth and deception.Drawing extensively from the books of Ezekiel and Genesis, Willie Mays Crawley Jr. presents a distinctive theological interpretation of events surrounding Heaven, creation, the fall of the anointed cherub, the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, Cain, Noah, and the continuing influence of sin upon humanity. Ezekiel's visions become an important foundation for exploring the author's understanding of rebellion in Heaven and its consequences upon Earth. But this book is not simply about Satan. At its heart, The Truth & The Great Deceiver is about knowing God, recognizing deception, and understanding the importance of obedience. Throughout Scripture, humanity repeatedly faces the same choice: trust God's Word or follow pride, temptation, human wisdom, and spiritual compromise. From Genesis to Ezekiel, through the Gospels, Acts, and Revelation, Crawley challenges readers to examine familiar biblical passages from a different perspective and to seek understanding through Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The journey ultimately leads to Jesus - the Son of God, Savior, Redeemer, and Light of the World - through whom humanity is offered forgiveness, restoration, and eternal life. This book invites readers not merely to recognize the enemy, but to examine themselves:Do we truly know the God we serve? Can we recognize deception when it appears? And when God's Word challenges our traditions, assumptions, and desires, will we choose obedience? The Truth & The Great Deceiver is ultimately a call to repentance, humility, faith, love, and a deeper relationship with God. It reminds readers that although deception may be powerful, it does not have the final word.Jesus does.
