The Three-Legged Night Terror

A loud, clattering noise in the basement sends all five Smallbear children diving under their blankets in fear of a monster. But when brave older brother Ray and smart little sister Ramona investigate, they find something entirely different: a tiny, terrified baby raccoon with only three legs, stuck inside a tomato can. Instantly, the kids fall in love with "Threesie" and decide to secretly adopt him, hiding him in the attic to keep him safe from their parents and their grumpy old dog, Randall. But hiding a wild, energetic, three-legged raccoon proves to be almost impossible. Threesie climbs the drapes, empties the potato bucket, spills flour everywhere, and even tries to wash pancakes in the toilet. Keeping him a secret is exhausting work, but as the kids soon discover, a house full of love can't keep a secret for long-and sometimes, the biggest surprises bring the family closer together.A heartwarming, funny, and engaging book that features a lively cast of Native American characters navigating both modern life and traditional values.
