The Thornsbane Heir

Alaric D'Argent is a vampire. He has been searching for arcane artifacts for decades. He comes upon evidence of an artifact called the Blood of the Moon, an ancient stone that promises either catastrophe or balance. Matt Thorne is an Oklahoma firefighter having a great vacation in London. He meets an archaeologist that is researching arcane artifacts. His instinct for trouble leads him to escorting her home at the end of the night. They encounter a supernatural attacker on the way, and Alaric shows up to save the day. As it turns out, Alaric has been searching for Matt. He finds that he is the heir to the Thornsbane legacy, which consists of acting as the keeper of the Blood of the Moon. Through many trials, much training, and acceptance of the existence of supernatural beings, Matt becomes embroiled in the search for the Blood of the Moon, working against time and werewolves, vampire elders and even MI6 in a rollicking, humorous adventure into the world of the arcane, mixed with chills and unadulterated snark.
