The Things That Can't Be Undone

Most teenagers don't expect their lives to be full of awe and adventure. For most, just sitting around daydreaming and making it through the mundane repetition of high school fulfills the quota of expectations. Living in a small town never seemed to help matters much, and my only escape was the fantastical stories that my grandmother regaled me with. She was the only person who understood me; I adored everything about her. She was charismatic. She was larger than life. She was the heroine of every story, and then, she was gone. An unexpected death left me with an inheritance of magical proportions, and I was not ready for the journey ahead. Turning my world upside down, a magical flower sprinkled excitement, adventure, and the discovery of my family's twisted past into my previously tedious existence. Opening doors to discover who I am, embracing my life purpose, and seeking the destiny written in the stars for my family, new friends I met along the way, and me.
