the Teeth of Tiger

A Colossal Inheritance. A Trail of Poisoned Heirs. The Return of a Legend Believed to Be Dead. Cosmo Mornington, an eccentric American millionaire, dies in Paris, leaving behind a monumental testament: a staggering fortune of one hundred million francs to be distributed among his unknown, distant heirs. But the will carries a chilling clause. If no legitimate bloodlines are found within three months, the entire wealth will pass to his trusted friend—Don Luis Perenna, a mysterious, heavily decorated hero of the French Foreign Legion. But Don Luis is no ordinary soldier; he is none other than Arsène Lupin, the legendary gentleman-burglar whom the world believes committed suicide years ago. Before the ink on the will can dry, a ruthless, invisible predator strikes. One by one, potential heirs and even the investigating police inspector are brutally murdered, all dying in the exact same manner as Mornington. At every grisly crime scene, the killer leaves behind a bizarre, terrifying signature: an apple bearing the distinct imprint of human teeth. Framed for the murders by the Paris police and hunted by a sadistic mastermind, Lupin must step out of his quiet retirement.
