Bol Leo Sterling is a meticulous architect hired to survey a mysterious old street scheduled for redevelopment. At first, the assignment appears routine, until he notices that every window reflects a different version of the past. Behind the glass, rain falls on streets that no longer exist, clocks run backward, and long-vanished buildings appear perfectly restored. Leo soon realizes that the street is not preserving history-it is feeding on nostalgia, drawing people into memories they cannot bear to release. The most dangerous window shows Leo's childhood home and his mother, Helena, on the day she left him in 1994. The image is so vivid that Leo begins chasing her reflection from window to window, becoming increasingly trapped inside the emotional architecture of his own past.Leo eventually discovers that developer Victor Holloway has deliberately turned the supernatural street into a "Museum of Regret." The project depends on Leo himself: his obsession with structure, order, and his unresolved childhood trauma have made him the street's living anchor. His attempts to map and control the impossible architecture are actually strengthening it.At the climax, Leo enters the house containing the Final Window, where his mother appears as a perfect memory. The street offers him exactly what he has wanted for decades-the chance to remain inside a yesterday where she never truly leaves. Instead, Leo chooses the painful uncertainty of the present. He raises his hammer and shatters the window, causing the entire Museum of Regret to collapse.Victor disappears with the collapsing street, while Leo and Maya escape into a blank, modern landscape. Leo finally accepts that he cannot repair the past or reconstruct the people he lost.In the ending, Leo encounters one final empty window. This time, he refuses to look backward. He walks away with Maya toward an uncertain future, understanding that moving forward is not a destination but a choice he must make repeatedly.
