The Starbound Chronicles: Iron Constellation

Three months after escaping the Academy, the five are fugitives with a stolen ship, the Ironkite, a mechanical dragon, and a star-map that every faction in Veltharion wants to destroy. Nova's mother built a failsafe inside the Star Engine-a way to stop the planetary consumption cycle without destroying their world. But activating it requires a critical component from each of the five factions, and every faction is now actively at war with every other. They will have to infiltrate all five faction strongholds to secure the pieces, and some of those strongholds belong to people the five used to call family. The Starbound Chronicles is an epic, five-book YA fantasy and sci-fi hybrid series perfect for readers aged 14 to 30.
