The gods didn't disappear 2,000 ago...They've been waiting. Fia Jones, an overworked corporate event planner, unknowingly implodes her purposefully mediocre life and becomes the perfect conduit for their schemes by accidentally summoning one. And, honestly? He's being a real jackass about it.Scouring Boston for an ancient relic, stalked by shapeshifter prophets and strange wolves, Fia unravels her own history alongside Irish mythology long buried in the city streets. At 15, social services declared her mother unfit. At 12, her mother started hallucinating. The key to survival is locked in her mother's faltering mind. Now, Fia must walk a tightrope between worlds, knowing it's only so long before she must decide:Is sacrificing her sanity worth saving her mother's life? And, somewhere in the chaos, is a sliver of salvation, a possible thread of providence waiting for Fia to grasp it and pull.
