I have always been fascinated by ideas on paper. Ideas could easily disappear but writing them down on paper could make them last eternally. As a writer, I grew up on short stories. Not only did I enjoy reading them in magazines such as the Reader's Digest, but in writing school, I was also required to write short assignments in order to learn how to communicate ideas succinctly in short formats. I love to write, but even this isn't the full reason why I studied writing. I wanted to write effectively, and I wanted to write according to the best conventions of form and grammar.
